External ROTC Student Procedures
ROTC students who are not attending Texas A&M University may be eligible for assistance from the Texas A&M L&C Scholarship if their home institution does not have ROTC grant scholarship funds available for use in programs outside their home university. However, award amounts available for external ROTC are dependent on the funding available after A&M students have been funded, thus increases in the number of internal ROTC applicants will negatively impact available funding for external cadets.
In terms of award notifications, information for external ROTC students will be available after the March 15 award notification date for Texas A&M ROTC students. Tentatively, information should be made available to all external ROTC applicants between March 22 and March 26.
